Salary: $70, 000 base salary plus uncapped commissions
Location: Greater Toronto Area, Remote with approximately 3 days per week on the road meeting clients across the GTA and nearby regions of Ontario (all within driving distance)
Language: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, French is considered an asset
Background Check Requirement: Criminal background check, credit check, and reference checks

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected organization within the financial services and investment space. The Investor Relations member plays a key role in strengthening the company’s communication and engagement with investors, analysts, and other important stakeholders. This position supports the delivery of clear, consistent, and accurate financial and corporate information. Contributing to effective reporting and ongoing relationship management, this role helps uphold the company’s strong reputation within the investment community.

Working closely with investors, internal leadership, and marketing partners, you’ll help deliver a highly personalized investor experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship-building, understands capital markets, and thrives in a role that balances client-facing work with strategic insight and analysis.

Your Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following:

  • Strengthening investor trust in the company’s strategic direction and its ability to consistently generate long-term value.
    Providing an exceptional, highly personalized experience to investors in the whole mortgage investment program, including the creation of individualized investment profiles.
  • Evaluating both product suitability (KYP) and client suitability (KYC) to ensure appropriate alignment between investor needs and available offerings.
  • Developing and delivering customized investment proposals for both existing investors and prospective clients
  • Communicating and presenting transactions to investors in a clear, concise, and easily understood manner
  • Maintaining a deep understanding of the company’s leadership, strategic priorities, value proposition, product positioning, operating divisions, technologies, and financial expectations, staying informed on ongoing developments.
  • Staying informed on broader economic, political, regulatory, and industry trends, as well as stock market insights
  • Fostering strong investor relationships through transparent communication
  • Partnering with the Marketing and Communications team by contributing subject-matter expertise to support messaging and content development

Skills and Qualification

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in investor relations, capital markets, finance, corporate communications
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, capital markets, and corporate governance
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Bilingualism in French considered a strong asset
  • Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and investor relations or CRM software
  • Exceptional presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels
  • Critical and analytical thinker with a strong business acumen
  • Self-driven with the ability to work effectively independently as well as in collaboration with internal teams with a positive, proactive and professional approach
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule
  • Must have a driver's license and access to a personal vehicle to attend client meetings approximately 3 days/week across the Greater Toronto Area and nearby regions of Ontario (all within driving distance).
