Position Summary


We have a current vacancy for a Business Process Automation Developer to join our Team in Ottawa, ON.

The successful Business Process Automation Developer candidate will implement, integrate, and troubleshoot/test Business Process Automation flows/processes including web service invocations, embedded scripts, and user interactions. The successful candidate may also work with end users and other stakeholders to support the team’s definition and refinement of applicable Business Processes.


Key Areas of Responsibility 

The successful candidate will:
•    Implement, integrate, and troubleshoot/test Business Process Automation (BPA) flows/processes including web service invocations, embedded scripts, and user interactions; and
•    Automate Business Processes, participating in engagements with relevant stakeholders.


Basic Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or equivalent education with relevant experience
•    Software Development and Business Process Automation experience: 7 years, including (the following items are not exclusive of each other):

Experience automating business processes: 3 years, including:


•    Experience working with IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation

(CP4BA);
•    Experience with Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN);


Experience developing Web Services: 3 years, including:

•    Back-end web app software development with Java web services;

•    Use of JavaScript for web application development.


Preferred Qualifications

•    Experience working in a Scrum/Agile software development environment
•    Experience with Power BI
•    Experience with requirements gathering and documentation
•    Strong oral and written communication skills
•    Experience with military, aerospace, or complex Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) domains

Canada role  
•    Access to Trade Controlled Items
•    Access to Controlled Goods

Security Clearance
•    Ability to obtain a NATO Secret security clearance
•    Ability to meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Registration Program (including ITAR-controlled articles)


Special Position Requirements

•    Schedule: Full time, in line with Thales Canada core hours
•    Physical Environment: Office / Desk work: > 90%, with a possibility of some lab or field work
•    Travel: Travel may be required and/or daily travel within greater Ottawa region, < 10%

The reference Total Target Compensation(TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between Total Target Cash (TTC) 102,213.76  – 127.767.20 CAD Annual.
