A typical day: Build & Run Models: Develop detailed energy models for various building types (offices, healthcare, etc.) using simulation software Analyze Data: Interpret architectural drawings, utility bills, and site data, documenting assumptions thoroughly. Identify Solutions: Propose strategies for energy savings, better indoor air quality, and thermal comfort. Specific to Labs and Hospitals Perform Analyses: Conduct lifecycle cost (LCCA) and carbon emissions analysis. Support Certifications: A.E.E License in required Report & Present: Write technical reports and present findings and recommendations to design teams. Successful candidates will have: Technical Skills: Proficiency in energy modeling software, understanding of building physics, HVAC, and sustainable design.
