We are seeking a highly motivated individual who excels in problem-solving, multi-task priorities with speed and accuracy, and consistently brings innovative, outside-the-box thinking to their work. Agilus is recruiting for a Transportation Claims Associate in the clothing industry in Mississauga, Ontario. As a Transportation Claims Associate, you will play a critical role in owning, managing, and resolving claims related to undelivered packages for a large North American retailer shipping over 500,000 packages weekly across multiple transportation carriers and networks. This is a work from office to begin with, with the strong possibility to work from home 1 or 2 days as you progress in this role. Total rewards: $20.00 hourly Pay: $20.00/hr plus 4% vacation pay paid weekly Positive, collaborative, respectful working environment. Work from Office to begin with a strong possibility for remote work 1 or 2 days as you progress in this role A typical day: Regularly track and generate detailed reports on outstanding undelivered packages using internal databases and carrier tracking systems. Gather and submit necessary backup documentation as required by each carrier, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Submit claims to carriers promptly and accurately according to individual carrier agreements, utilizing methods such as spreadsheets, website uploads, and data form entries. Log and monitor the status of claims, conducting routine follow-ups to ensure timely resolution. Identify inefficiencies and propose improvements to workflows, documenting new procedures as needed to streamline processes and enhance overall team performance. Track payments, including checks received, coding, and revenue entry, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Communicate professionally and clearly with accounts payable, shipping carriers, and other business partners. Work closely with carriers and internal teams to address inquiries, provide status updates, and resolve concerns effectively. Must have: 2+ years of experience in extracting, manipulating, and analyzing large data sets, including maintaining, optimizing and cross reference data in multiple spreadsheets. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, pivot tables, and the ability to generate data analysis and report summaries. Proficiency with Google Suite (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Sheets). Excellent verbal and written communication Previous experience in claims processing or transportation logistics within a retail or ecommerce environment. This posting is for an active opening.
