As a Bilingual Life Claims Adjudicator, you will play a critical role in ensuring life insurance claims are processed accurately and efficiently in accordance with established procedures, guidelines, and regulatory requirements. You will be detail-oriented, empathetic, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the integrity of our claims process.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Review and adjudicate death claims in compliance with company policies, contractual provisions, and legal requirements.

  • Verify eligibility by analyzing policy details, beneficiary designations, and supporting documentation such as death certificates and medical records.

  • Request additional information or documentation when necessary and liaise with beneficiaries, advisors, and internal teams to resolve outstanding issues.

  • Maintain accurate and complete claim records in the system to ensure proper documentation and reserve calculations.

  • Communicate claim decisions clearly and professionally to beneficiaries and stakeholders.

  • Identify potential fraud indicators and escalate cases for investigation when appropriate.

  • Collaborate with underwriting, legal, and compliance teams to ensure fair and consistent claim practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree or equivalent work experience.

  • 2+ years of experience in life insurance claims adjudication or a related field.

  • Bilingual (French & English) is required - The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English and French in order to support clients from various jurisdictions outside of Quebec.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of life insurance products, policy provisions, and regulatory requirements.

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to evaluate documentation and make sound decisions.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with beneficiaries during sensitive situations.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

  • Familiarity with fraud detection practices and compliance standards.

Salary range is expected to be between

$51,375.00 CAD - $85,625.00 CAD
