Summary

Dome Productions is looking for an individual with strong interpersonal skills, technically minded, a strong knowledge of live sports production to fill the role of Supervisor in our broadcast operations centre. In this role you will be part of the operations and engineering team that supports virtual ad replacement on live events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for compiling and distribution of DED Daily Event Sheet
  • Reviews daily schedules, assigns Leads to daily games, and in conjunction with Leads ensures operators are assigned properly
  • Monitoring incoming feeds, handling all mobile inquiries
  • Initial contact between the venue techs and production mobiles
  • Responsible for answering ROC Hotline
  • Working with operators that have technical issues that cannot be handled by our team leads
  • Answering any issues brought up by the venue techs that cannot be resolved by gallery operators or team leads
  • As problems occur, they would instruct a team lead to send an outage email, then address the problem immediately.
  • Create and update the schedule for Sr. Operators, DED Techs and Supervisors
  • Keeping track of Service Requests
  • Ensures Team Leads and engineers are following existing protocols relating to operation, engineering, scheduling, training, reporting
  • Make the freelance staff aware and enforce existing policies regarding conduct
  • Evaluate the performance and effectiveness of each operator report tracking negative and positive trends in skill and behavior
  • Observe, mentor and evaluate the freelance operators daily
  • Collates nightly reports, operator performance reports, blast alerts reports and sign out sheets from Team Leads
  • Able to operate and navigate through the clients software on an elite level
  • Report any issues, findings and recommendations to Operations Manager


 

Critical Qualifications

 

  • Understanding of Supponor Software and Procedures
  • (Calibration, net captures, director, playlists, uploads…)
  • Understanding of computer networking and operating systems
  • Ability to trouble shoot hardware and software issues
  • Ability to work to deadlines and perform under pressure
  • Ability to monitor multiple video streams concurrently
  • Experience in a supervisory role  
  • Understanding of sports and entertainment production
  • Detailed-orientated, multi-tasking, self-directed with the ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Required to work weekdays, evenings and/or weekends as needed
  • Experience with sports/entertainment mobile production

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
