The Senior Manager, IT Services Sourcing is responsible for leading Bank-wide sourcing and category management activities. This role involves working closely with senior business unit leadership and other sourcing leaders to centralize and consolidate company-wide supplier selection, driving reductions in the total cost of goods and services procured.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Drive contract negotiations with key suppliers to ensure favorable terms, mitigating risks and maximizing value for the Bank; Provide advisory on Build vs. Buy decisions (Insource vs. Outsource), establish and manage strategic suppliers; rationalize non-strategic vendors, execute RFx processes (RFI, RFP, RFQs), perform supplier selection, evaluation, and onboarding.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met through effective communication and relationship management.
  • Develop and implement category management strategies that align with the Bank's business objectives, ensuring optimal sourcing and procurement outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on sourcing initiatives and addressing concerns.
  • Develop relationships with business leaders to support enterprise objectives, influence key stakeholders, and lead sourcing and category strategies.
  • Establish and develop ongoing strategic relationships with key suppliers, driving high-quality and cost-effective supply relationships.
  • Directly lead and implement best practices in sourcing initiatives, tracking progress for multi-functional stakeholder teams.
  • Contribute to efforts to influence spend and drive cost savings across all business segments, supporting consistent procurement processes.
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge while ensuring compliance and efficiency in operations.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?  We’d love to work with you if you have:   

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Technology, or related field; MBA or professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, PMP) preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or vendor management within Technology Services.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing categories including IT Services, Professional Services, Consulting, Cyber Security Services, Contingent Staffing/Labour
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment and support for sourcing initiatives.
  • Extensive experience in developing and implementing category management strategies, with a focus on driving cost savings and value creation.
  • Excellent change-leadership and conflict resolution management skills.
  • Ability to comprehend complex technical and financial issues and create effective action plans.
  • Knowledgeable in financial services and regulations (e.g., OSFI, OCC, CFPB, UDAAP) and their application to Third Party relationships.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
  • Ability to develop collaborative working relationships with global stakeholder groups.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with state-of-the-art procurement and analysis technologies.
