You’re not building training for training’s sake. You’re helping a federal organization strengthen operational readiness through learning that is responsive, modern, and rooted in real operational needs. Your work will directly support training delivered both in-class and online.
This role sits close to decision-makers and subject matter experts, blending strategy with hands-on development. You’ll collaborate with operational and technical SMEs, advise leadership on learning best practices, and bring structure to the full training lifecycle from analysis through validation.

You’ll plan and deliver Needs Assessments and Training Needs Analyses, including formal reports with findings and recommendations.
You’ll design and develop face-to-face and distance learning courses
You’ll build and maintain courseware, learning aids, and instructional tools based on SME input and user feedback.
You’ll develop formative and summative assessments, plus program evaluation and validation tools and reports.
You’ll advise leaders on learning theory, best practices, and training policy
6+ years of training development experience across analysis, design, development, evaluation, and validation.
Canadian degree or diploma in Science, Engineering, or IT, or equivalent with 36+ months IT experience plus VMware or MCSE certification.
Proven delivery of at least 2 NA/TNA or equivalent training standards documents within the past 6 years.
Recent experience designing and developing both classroom and online training plans and courseware.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the judgment to work in a security-sensitive environment.
