About the Opportunity
Join a prominent public sector organization that plays a vital role in the province's energy and regulatory landscape. In this pivotal contract role, you will support the Finance and Risk team during a critical period involving collective bargaining and strategic planning.
You will work directly with senior leadership, including the Executive Leadership Committee, to provide essential financial insights and modeling. Your work will ensure fiscal responsibility and support fair, data-driven decision-making for the organization’s workforce planning and labor negotiations.

Your Responsibilities
You’ll develop complex financial models to evaluate compensation trends and forecast salary-related expenses.
In this role, you will analyze confidential payroll data to provide insights into salary competitiveness and cost impacts for labor negotiations.
You’ll support the leadership team by preparing detailed cost analyses and sensitivity testing for collective bargaining agreements.
You will model various salary and benefit scenarios to assess financial implications and ensure alignment with budget goals.
You’ll partner with People and Culture and Legal teams to ensure accuracy in cost allocations and compliance with labor laws.
Skills and Qualifications
5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally within a public sector or unionized environment.
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting combined with a CPA designation.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling and advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Dynamics.
Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive data with a high level of discretion.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to senior executives.
