Position Overview

Job Type: Full Time, Part Time

Calian is a globally recognized, industry-leading provider of healthcare solutions to improve access to care by connecting patients and providers. When you work for Calian Health, you’ll be making a difference—improving access to high-quality patient care.

Calian has been engaged by the Ministry of the Solicitor General to build a team of Physicians and Nurse Practitioners at Central North Correctional Centre (CNCC) in Penetanguishene, Ontario.

Position Overview

Central North Correctional Centre (CNCC) is a maximum-security provincial correctional facility. It houses adult male and female inmates serving sentences of less than two years; individuals awaiting trial; and those held on remand. CNCC provides a range of healthcare, mental health, and rehabilitative services, including medical treatment, addiction support, and reintegration programs.

Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) at CNCC provides comprehensive primary healthcare to incarcerated individuals, including physical and mental health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions. The NP collaborates with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop individualized care plans, prescribe medications, and implement harm reduction strategies. Responsibilities also include promoting preventative healthcare, and ensuring adherence to correctional healthcare policies and standards.

We are currently looking to engage Nurse Practitioners to work on a Part-time or Full-time basis on-site, ranging from 1 to 5 days per week. With lots of scheduling flexibility, you can build the schedule you want.

We are offering premium compensation.
