Technical Resources Manager

Department: Emergency and Critical Care

Compensation: $75,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and skills.

The Technical Resources Manager, Emergency and Critical Care, is a full-time role, reporting directly to the General Manager. The role will be 50% management and 50% RVT on the floor. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a key member of the management team, the Technical Resources Manager is responsible for the following:

  • Staff Management, provide leadership to a team of RVTs and ACAs, including on-the-floor assessments of workflow, coaching and mentoring. 

  • Create a safe and positive work environment by providing clear communication; establish staffing needs in collaboration with the management team, and submitting request for hiring for positions.

  • Provide guidance and training to new hires and existing staff.  

  • Provide refresher training and learning opportunities to keep the staff motivated.

  • Schedule of RVTs and ACAs based on the needs of the business.

  • Point person for authorization of vacation, overtime and on-call requests.

  • Performing administrative functions is required.

  • Continue to promote TVEH’s advancement program for technicians. 

  • Coordinate and lead various department and inter-department meetings.

  • Completion of performance evaluations for RVTs and ACAs.

  • Function as an RVT on the floor for 50% of your time, filling in open positions in the ER and ICU.

  • Creating and maintaining protocols, policies and procedures, and overall good working conditions for a motivated team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • RVT in good standing

  • Experience in Emergency Medicine a benefit

  • Minimum of 2 years of management experience in a leadership role

  • Fluent in English (reading, writing and oral)

SKILLS:

  • RVT in good standing

  • Experience managing a team of Techs and ACAs

  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and teamwork skills

  • Solid decision-making and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects

  • Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships with professionalism and integrity

  • Exhibits a positive attitude and uses courtesy, diplomacy and discretion in all interactions within the clinic

  • Always maintains professional ethics and confidentiality.
