The role :
The Senior Manager is responsible for performing a key control function for ensuring accurate reconciliation of all balance sheet and P&L accounts and compliance with the Bank’s accounting policies and IFRS guidelines. In addition to these responsibilities, he/she will be leading the Finance Transformation Project to completion.
The Senior Manager understands the source, processes impacting deposits, loans, securities, mortgages, securitization and credit card. This role ensures the balance sheet and P&L accounts are appropriately reconciled and analyzed; issues are promptly identified and resolved. The role is also responsible for managing changes to reconciliations based on system, process, policy and IFRS guideline changes and is required to lead in all projects which impacts GL accounts to ensure adequate controls are in place in systems and processes are complying with required accounting policies and guidelines.
The Senior Manager leads the team of finance analysts ensuring appropriate cross-training and procedural documentation exists to support the on-going operation and provides training for staff. The ability to manage project milestones, meet tight month-end deadlines and multi-task is imperative to the success of this position.
This is a two-year contract assignment within Tangerine Finance.
