We are seeking an experienced and driven technical Delivery Lead to oversee the end-to-end delivery of a mission-critical banking application. The Delivery Lead will be responsible for ensuring successful project execution, meeting business objectives, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and security.


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

 

  • Oversee technical project plans and timelines, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and on budget. This includes estimating and planning and the ability to provide regular, standardized reporting for project status.
  • Participating in design discussions focused on building the best client experience.
  • Design and implementation of best practices/processes.
  • Present and leverage technical information and solutions in a way that establishes trust relationships, persuade stakeholders and achieve understanding and consensus at all levels.
  • Assess and analyze business strategy & requirements, the current technical environment and technology options to evaluate solution alternatives that meet business needs and bank strategy.
  • Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution. Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised and resolved.
  • Participating in planning and review sessions.
  • Partner with multiple teams across the bank to collaborate on strategy and direction.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies (Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Retrospective) and longer-term planning exercises (Release Planning, Release Train Planning).
  • Pro-actively identify and mitigate risks using Agile best practices and project deliverables.
  • Provide regular, standardized reporting for team performance: velocity, stories completed and project status.
  • Develop and document technical processes, procedures, and playbooks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, architects, business analysts, and QA professionals.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and internal policies.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
  • Mentor and motivate team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
 

  • 5+ years of technical project management experience and/or leading large cross-functional/cross-regional teams on major organizational projects primarily dealing with software development releases.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex software solutions.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in technical delivery or project management roles within the financial services sector is an asset.
  • Basic AI experience is good to have.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and API management an asset.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and emerging technologies an asset.
