We are seeking a seasoned Technical Specialist to provide expert advisory and hands-on support for Linux-based applications and automation solutions. This role requires strong proficiency in Ansible scripting and Ansible Tower management, with the ability to lead root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex issues in enterprise environments. Middleware experience (IBM MQ, JBoss, Tomcat) is considered an asset.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

 

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Linux application support and automation.
  • Perform root cause analysis for critical incidents and provide permanent solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex system and application issues across Linux environments.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks and manage Ansible Tower workflows.
  • Provide advisory support to application teams on best practices for automation and deployment.
  • Working knowledge of DevOps principles and practices
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Support and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely remediation of findings
  • Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes aligned with ITIL.
  • Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for Applications in support.
  • Document technical solutions, processes, and troubleshooting guides for knowledge sharing.

  • 8+ years of experience in Linux application support and administration.
  • Strong expertise in Ansible scripting and Ansible Tower management.
  • Proven experience in root cause analysis and complex troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and process-oriented methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Middleware experience with IBM MQ, JBoss, and Tomcat (asset).
  • Experience in banking or financial services environments.
  • Certifications in Linux and/or Ansible (asset but not mandatory).
  • Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership.
  • Strong documentation and process adherence skills.
