Location: Toronto, Ontario, Hybrid, 4days on site per week

About the Opportunity

Our client in the insurance sector is seeking an experienced Underwriter who thrives in a collaborative, relationship-focused environment. In this role, you will manage a diverse book of E&O business, working closely with brokers and internal partners to ensure strategic, profitable growth.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will underwrite and manage an existing book of E&O business, ensuring alignment with internal policies and processes.

  • You’ll support the development of new business, contributing to profitable portfolio growth.

  • You’ll collaborate on marketing strategies that strengthen the organization’s industry presence.

  • You’ll build and maintain relationships with brokers, fostering trust and long-term partnerships.

  • You’ll strengthen internal connections across profit centers and distribution teams.

  • You’ll assist in implementing strategic initiatives, new products, and process improvements.

  • You’ll provide guidance on underwriting practices and stay informed on industry trends.


Skills and Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in specialty insurance underwriting.

  • Strong understanding of risk management principles and the ability to interpret and analyze data.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a positive and energetic approach.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

  • Strong organizational skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
