This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role shaping the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) strategy for a large, innovative organization within the financial technology sector. In this high-impact position, you will guide the design, governance, and evolution of a mission-critical asset and configuration management ecosystem that supports complex digital products and enterprise-scale technology services.
You will join a collaborative, forward-thinking team where your expertise directly contributes to secure, reliable, and transparent IT operations. Partnering with technical teams, governance leaders, and stakeholders across the business, you will help define how systems are discovered, mapped, and maintained, ensuring a trusted single source of truth for technology assets across the organization.

• You’ll define the CMDB vision, scope, and objectives to align with enterprise technology services and value streams.
• You’ll design, implement, and govern CMDB structures, processes, and lifecycle standards.
• You’ll oversee CMDB operations, including CI accuracy, relationship mapping, and lifecycle maintenance.
• You’ll lead and mentor CMDB team members while providing training and support to users across the organization.
• You’ll conduct configuration audits, lead remediation efforts, and support ITSM reporting needs.
• You’ll champion the CMDB as the single source of truth for ITSM and IT Operations.
• In this role, you’ll provide technical leadership for ServiceNow discovery, service mapping, and CI management.
• You’ll develop and maintain documentation for discovery processes, schedules, and procedures.
• You’ll collaborate closely with teams across ITIL practices, risk management, vendor management, and cybersecurity.
• 10+ years of progressive IT experience, including hands-on work with CMDB, discovery, and service mapping on the ServiceNow platform.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with asset and configuration management frameworks, processes, and governance.
• Strong technical knowledge of cloud and on-prem environments such as AWS, Azure, VMware, Windows, UNIX, and networking fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting discovery issues and managing data reconciliation workflows.
• Proficiency with ServiceNow discovery patterns and scripting (PowerShell, JavaScript).
• Knowledge of the Common Services Data Model, ITIL practices, and ServiceNow CSDM alignment.
• ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS) and ITIL 4 certification are strong assets.
