We are looking for a Senior iOS Developer who possesses a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits. This iOS app developer will work with our team of talented engineers to design, develop / enhance Scotia Caribbean iOS application.

You will work as part of a team to ensure that the business and technical architecture of the delivered solution matches business requirements.  You will be asked to take technical lead on various aspects of design, development and mentoring of resources while working with architects, developers, key business stakeholders, various technical support teams across the Bank, regulatory and compliance groups, and senior leadership.

You will contribute to the overall success of CCA - Retail Digital Engineering unit, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  You will ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

  • Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications
  • Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts
  • Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution

  • Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment
  • Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you

  • 5 or more years of iOS development (conceptualization, design, and development), including experience with Swift 5 and XCTest
  • Strong knowledge of UIKit, Auto Layout, and building interfaces programmatically
  • Familiarity with different software design patterns (MVC/MVVM), with experience providing hands-on architectural design for native iOS apps
  • Good knowledge of iOS design best practices and Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines. Willing and able to provide designers with constructive feedback
  • Hands-on experience implementing accessibility and dark mode
  • Bonus points for knowledge of and experience with Combine and SwiftUI
  • Experience building applications that consume RESTful APIs
  • Experience with tools such as: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket
  • Comfortable working on a large-scale product as part of a large and complex enterprise, with both new technologies and building on top of legacy systems
