As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be the person spotting threats before they escalate in environments such as security operation centres, call centers, construction sites, parking lots and gatehouses, etc.

Responsibilities for Surveillance Security Guard

• Maintain site security through CCTV/system monitoring and regular foot patrols; identify and report suspicious activity or vulnerabilities.
• Control access to entrances/secure areas; verify IDs and authorize entry.
• Respond rapidly to fires, medical incidents, security breaches, and potential threats; coordinate with law enforcement when required.
• Document daily activity and incidents accurately and on time (email reports).
• Communicate clearly in English and collaborate with site staff to ensure a safe, professional environment.
• De-escalate conflicts and resolve issues calmly and efficiently.
• Confidently operate security technologies; report malfunctions promptly.
• Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and respectful conduct.
• Remain physically and mentally fit to perform all security duties

Qualifications for Surveillance Security Guard

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid Manitoba security license
• First aid certification as asset
• Strong report writing skills
• Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus
• Strong proficiency with technology
• Ability to stand and walk throughout shift 
• Reliable vehicle to get to site
