Our federal government client requires a Senior Project Planner to provide expert planning support and coordination for a high-value, multi-year infrastructure acquisition project. The role involves strategic infrastructure planning, documentation development, stakeholder engagement, and support for the implementation of capital asset initiatives.

Tasks

  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation including Business Case Analyses, Statements of Requirements, and submission materials for senior-level review

  • Provide timely inputs to infrastructure planning documents such as schedules, budgets, risk assessments, and governance presentations

  • Review and support the development of functional space programs, design requirements, and tender documentation in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders

  • Offer strategic advice and recommendations to project management on infrastructure planning and risk mitigation

  • Coordinate submission schedules and approval timelines with acquisition milestones

  • Participate in the development and integration of bid evaluation frameworks, tools, and review procedures

  • Collaborate with stakeholders through working groups, supplier engagements, and operational planning forums

  • Draft briefing packages for senior leadership addressing infrastructure site selection, project development, and risk management

  • Support communications and integration across project teams, ensuring alignment of timelines and responsibilities

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of project deliverables and contribute to progress reporting, administrative coordination, and site planning

  • Prepare monthly progress and trip reports documenting activities, risks, and updates

  • Ensure adherence to relevant policies, procedures, and documentation standards

Qualifications

  • College diploma or higher in a relevant field such as engineering, construction, or project management

  • Experience preparing some of the following documents for capital asset projects: functional space programs, operational requirement statements, or Treasury Board submissions

  • Demonstrated knowledge in some of the following areas: aircraft facility accommodation planning, infrastructure project development, or infrastructure risk assessments

  • Experience on capital infrastructure projects involving project planning, integration, and stakeholder coordination

  • Experience developing planning documentation for capital asset acquisition projects, including business cases and project controls

  • Experience preparing senior-level briefing materials in some of the following areas: site selection, infrastructure design, or large project management

  • Proven ability to lead coordination efforts across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder groups

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce professional reports and presentations

  • Valid Secret security clearance and available for a hybrid work environment
