Our federal government client is searching for a Junior Technical Writer to support the development of a specialized training course for imagery analysts. This position involves courseware design, content development, and instructional support, leveraging previous hands-on experience in imagery analysis to create effective and operationally relevant learning materials.
Develop courseware for an imagery analyst training program to meet delivery deadlines
Create PowerPoint lesson decks with teacher notes, references, and visual enhancements
Prepare demonstration scenarios and practical exercises for course topics
Ensure all content aligns with provided teaching points and instructional design standards
Use prior experience as an imagery analyst to create accurate and mission-relevant materials
Contribute to lessons on weapons systems, nuclear analysis, and maritime and aviation-based intelligence
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure consistency, clarity, and instructional effectiveness
Deliver outputs in formats suitable for instructional delivery and course facilitation
College diploma in any field is required
Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a technical writer is required
At least two (2) years of experience employed as an imagery analyst within a government department
Minimum of one (1) year of experience developing or reviewing training material related to imagery analysis
Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical content into learner-friendly instructional materials
Familiarity with defense-related subject matter, including nuclear, chemical, space-based, and maritime systems
Skilled in developing lesson slides, notes, and exercises for technical training purposes
