About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic AI Strategy & Change Management Lead to join our Data Cognition Team at BMO Capital Markets. In this role, you will drive the adoption and integration of AI capabilities across the organization, champion change management initiatives, and develop comprehensive curriculums for AI upskilling. You will blend technical expertise, strategic foresight, and exceptional communication skills to make AI accessible and actionable for diverse teams, ensuring measurable business impact.
Our Team
The Data Cognition Team (DCT) at BMO Capital Markets delivers a scalable, customizable, and sustainable suite of AI-enabled products for multiple business units. We leverage advanced data and analytics technologies to solve complex business challenges and drive strategic transformation across Investment Banking, Global Markets, and other divisions.
Key Responsibilities
· Define and execute the AI strategy and change management roadmap in alignment with Capital Markets’ strategic priorities.
· Lead organizational change initiatives to support AI adoption, including stakeholder alignment, process redesign, and cultural transformation.
· Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive AI upskilling programs and curriculums for all levels of the organization, leveraging hands-on workshops and real-world scenarios.
· Partner with subject matter experts to create accessible, engaging, and practical AI learning content, including frameworks for responsible AI and ethical practices.
· Measure and report on the effectiveness of upskilling initiatives, adjusting programs based on feedback and evolving business needs.
· Develop and implement communication plans to foster understanding, engagement, and trust in AI-driven transformation.
· Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, building communities of practice and fostering a culture of experimentation and innovation.
· Present program status, risks, and value realization to executive committees and steering groups.
· Ensure all change management and upskilling initiatives comply with regulatory, ethical, and governance standards.
· Collaborate with AI governance and risk teams to embed responsible AI practices into all transformation activities.
Qualifications
· 5+ years of experience in financial services, consulting, or technology, with a focus on AI strategy, change management, or digital transformation.
· Demonstrated success leading large-scale change initiatives and AI adoption programs with measurable business impact.
· Experience designing and delivering training programs, curriculum development, or workforce upskilling in AI or analytics.
· Strong understanding of AI technologies, data science, and business process transformation.
· Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level influence.
· Proven ability to work cross-functionally and build communities of practice.
· Experience in curriculum design, professional education, or instructional design is a strong asset.
Nice to Have
· Experience with Generative AI, advanced analytics platforms, and AI implementation frameworks.
· Certifications in change management, agile facilitation, or professional development.
· Experience with cloud and analytics platforms (AWS, Tableau, Power BI, etc.).
· Familiarity with Capital Markets operational structure, regulatory requirements and governance frameworks.c

Base Salary: $120,000-$150,000 CAD
