The Licensing and Compliance Monitoring Branch (LCM) supports the quality of the Continuing Care in Alberta. It licences Continuing Care accommodations and safeguards residents’ health, safety, and well-being within the continuing care settings in Alberta. The LCM branch delivers a proactive inspections and audit programs and investigates complaints and reportable incidents to ensure that all continuing care accommodations and publicly funded continuing care health services meet the legislated standards.

The Senior Program Analyst is responsible for identifying the branch business's needs, determining its scope, and engaging the appropriate stakeholders to support necessary changes. This includes leading or supporting strategic initiatives, assessing business needs, conducting research, updating and analyzing Programs, Policies and Processes, reviewing external policy impacts, evaluating performance measures, and preparing related documentation and recommendations.
In this role, you will focus on creating solutions to address identified business needs. The Senior Policy Analyst develops and evaluates options-ranging from no change to full replacement or discontinuation—while considering urgency, resources, legislation, and technology. You will collaborate with branch staff, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to design practical recommendations.
As a Senior Program Analyst, you will lead and support the branch program initiatives, integrating approved programs, policies and process recommendations into operations developing implementation strategies and plans. You will be monitoring progress, resolving issues, and escalating concerns when necessary.
To be successful in this role you will also collaborate with internal and external partners, provide coaching and subject-matter expertise, interpret data to support change, and contribute to action planning for short- and long-term priorities. Additionally, the Senior Program Analyst mentors team members, promotes strong communication, and demonstrates adaptability in ambiguous environments.

As the Senior Program Analyst, in addition to your education and experience, you will demonstrate well-honed competencies in the following areas:

Hours of work are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. This is a full-time position working 36.25 hours per week.
This competition will be used to fill two temporary positions in Edmonton.
