Western Veterinary Specialist & Emergency Center is currently welcoming an Internal Medicine Specialist to join our team, in a part-time or locum capacity. As a successful candidate, you understand the importance of building relationships with our pet parents and our support team to provide the best care possible.   • A valid veterinarian license allowing practice in Canada

  • Dedicated to promoting team-based medicine practices

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues, pet parents, and the community

  • A passion for coaching and mentoring students along their DVM journey

The candidate would be joining our Specialty team and supporting our existing clients and referring veterinarians.  The successful candidate will be working alongside two existing Internal Medicine Specialists.

About us:

We are a busy specialty and emergency hospital with multiple collaborative specialty services including imaging, cardiology, internal medicine, surgery, critical care, oncology (radiation oncology and medical oncology), dermatology, and a strong anesthesia department. We are looking to expand our already existing services for exotic animals. Our hospital is equipped with a CT scan, rigid and flexible endoscopic equipment, surgical suites, an in-house laboratory, digital radiographs, ultrasound, and oxygen cages.
