Altis is partnering with a leading organization in the transportation and logistics sector to hire a Senior Business Analyst for their International Transportation team. This role directly supports critical drayage, transload, and port-related operations, helping ensure accurate financial reporting and real performance visibility across a complex and fast-moving environment.

In this position, you will collaborate with operations teams, planners, dispatchers, and leadership, transforming validated invoice data into actionable insights that drive decision-making. If you enjoy solving puzzles, modernizing reporting tools, and learning hands-on processes that keep goods flowing, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

What’s in it for You

You will join a collaborative and close-knit operations team that values curiosity, continuous learning, and practical problem-solving. This organization promotes a culture that celebrates balance, encourages innovation, and welcomes fresh ideas that improve how teams work. You will also gain exposure to system modernization, cross-functional collaboration, and career growth within a dynamic supply chain environment.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will perform day-to-day financial and operational reporting, including accruals, budget tracking, drayage-related reporting, and validated invoice data analysis.

  • You will oversee financial reporting for drayage operations of approximately $30M annually, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for leadership.

  • You will support operational teams with data insights, dashboard updates, and visibility into performance trends.

  • You will prepare, validate, and enhance reporting structures as the organization transitions to a new OTM system this spring.

  • You will build and maintain spreadsheets, shared databases, and automated workflows that support transportation and financial reporting.

  • You will identify opportunities to streamline reporting, using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Power Platform.

  • You will partner with carriers, dispatchers, and planners to clarify data, understand operational realities, and support issue resolution.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, analytics, supply chain, logistics, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience working with databases, spreadsheets, and large data sets.

  • Solid understanding of financial concepts, including accruals, budgets, and reconciliations.

  • Experience in transportation, drayage, freight, or logistics strongly preferred.

  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to ask questions, verify assumptions, and work effectively with operations teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Analytics, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Note from the Hiring Manager

Working in Vancouver creates the opportunity to work closely with local drivers and port partners and build strong relationships to Transload facilities, which enables us to deliver exceptional service. We’re taking on several exciting new projects, including dynamic dispatch reporting that leverages real-time data to optimize fleet operations, invoice automation to streamline financial processes, and ongoing AI and automation initiatives that make our work smarter and more efficient.
