Reporting to the Manager, Student Services, and under the functional guidance of the Manager, Student Accessibility Services, you are accountable for leading accommodation planning and approval for students with disabilities. This includes but is not limited to supporting student accommodation requests, collecting student documentation, evaluating student requests in relation to their documentation and the nature of programming, applying professional judgement and expertise related to the impact of disability in the NSCC environment and consulting with qualified assessing professionals as needed.

As part of the Student Services team, you will participate in, or at times lead, the organization of campus events, activities, or committees that contribute to the distinctive student experience, such as Orientation, Wellness Week, and Convocation. You are passionate about supporting students and providing excellent customer service.

As a condition of employment, Professional Support employees at NSCC must complete a part-time adult education program delivered by NSCC. This adult education program is a significant investment on the part of NSCC in the learning and development of new employees. To achieve regular status; all probationary, full or part-time Professional Support employees of the College must successfully complete the program within their probationary period. Term full-time Professional Support employees whose term appointment is twelve or more months are also required to participate in this program.

The salary scale for Professional Support 4 is based on twelve steps that range from $77,924.62 -
$100,491.74. New Professional Support may receive up to a maximum of seven steps for relevant
occupational experience which is $88,020.79 annually.
