Position Overview

Calian is currently looking for an instructor with experience in M365 deliver a competency-based Microsoft 365 training course for beginners, applying best teaching practices to support learner engagement, skills acquisition, and progression through DND Digital Competencies

  • Facilitate multiple sessions of the Microsoft beginner course
  • Apply scaffolding, adaptive teaching, and active learning strategies
  • Provide learner support, administer assessments, and report outcomes
  • Review instructional materials and align delivery plan with course objectives.
  • Participate in orientation and planning sessions with stakeholders.
  • Customize delivery approach based on learner needs and context.
  • Scaffolding content delivery.
  • Active learning strategies.
  • Real-time formative assessment.
  • Intervention strategies for struggling learners.
  • Encourage peer-to-peer collaboration.
  • Deliverables may include but are not limited to: Daily Session Reports (attendance, engagement, outcomes).
  • Provide ongoing support during and between sessions (e.g., via Teams).
  • Monitor learner progress and adapt instruction as needed.
  • Offer one-on-one coaching or small group support for learners needing additional help
  • Administer and evaluate formative and summative assessments.
  • Collect learner feedback through surveys.
  • Analyze learning outcomes against digital competencies
  • Deliverables may include but are not limited to: Learner Assessment Results Summary, Feedback Analysis Report
  • Document instructional delivery outcomes.
  • Provide recommendations for future course improvements.
  • Collaboration with 2nd instructor for course improvements
  • Collaborate with SME supervisor to revise teaching methodology based on delivery experience.
  • Deliverables may include but are not limited to: Final Instructional Delivery Report with recommendations

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum two (2) years’ experience instructing in the content area related to the task
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience working in (not as an instructor) the content area related to the task
  • Must hold a valid Standard First Aid certification as of the date of draft TAF issuance.

AND

  • Must have a federal government of Canada clearance at the Reliability level or higher
