The Role  

 

As a Senior Manager Operational Reporting & Delivery you are driven to provide comprehensive telemetry and reporting on the operational state of the Global Corporate Functions control infrastructure encompassing:

    • Project health, budgeting, budgetary compliance and reconciliation with both project and enterprise budget forecasts
    • Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators.
    • Compilation of the Weekly Senior Management Update reporting for:
        • Major Deployments / Work Completed on Significant Programmes
        • Work Kicked Off
        • Major Wins
        • Projects / Programmes with delivery concerns
        • Newly identified risks or issues + progress on existing
        • Misc Areas of Concern / Updates
        • Upcoming Deployments
        • Regulator Meetings
        • Misc Events By “round robin” interview with the GCF VP population.

 

    • Assisting in the preparation of the GCF annual budgetary submission, acting as the junction point between project level detail and overall finance submissions.
    • Ensuring that the time tracking system, the project financial reporting system and the MARS system are in synch, explaining breaks and where appropriate reconciling differences.
    • The driving purpose of this role is to gather and consolidate the operational data for the Global Corporate Functions department into one definitive source of the truth and then monitor, alert and escalate on these as needed.  This role is the early warning system for the group with respect to operational data.
    • This is a hands-on role set up to ensure that Scotia becomes “the creators, guardians, and engineers of value and exceptional experiences for our clients.

 

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will: 

 

    • Hands on collection of data, preparation of reports and exception alerting on KPI/KRI’s.
    • Liaison with the Enterprise Delivery Office, the Office of Technology Strategy and Business Operations, Finance, Internal Quality Assurance and, where needed for cross departmental initiatives, CIO’s from other functions.
    • Drafting escalations for Senior Management (VP/SVP++) attention. Ensuring that they get resolved.
    • Championing a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.
    • Understanding how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
    • Actively pursueing effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

 

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? 

We’d love to work with you if you have 

 

    • 5+ years in Technology, HR or learning and development role
    • Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized, accredited, university or college. Technical degree + MBA / CPA would be ideal.
    • Experience in gathering KPI/KRI’s for a technology function.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Great presentation skills.
