The Technical Architect within the Applications Management Branch is responsible for designing and monitoring the implementation of secure, robust, and flexible system solutions that align with City objectives and business requirements. Working collaboratively with project teams they bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution, ensuring architectural alignment to roadmaps and policies. They view the entirety of the City’s technology landscape in a holistic manner and ensure architectural integrity across systems and platforms.
Technical Architects lead technical feasibility and readiness assessments, are responsible for proposing new architectural patterns, contributing to RFPs, and creating & maintaining design documentation. They support the Applications Management Branch by providing advice, technical guidance, best practices, and advanced troubleshooting. They are deeply experienced technology professionals with a proven background in the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise grade software. They are considered the senior-most individual contributor within the Applications Management Branch.
Completion of 4 year university degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience conducting technical design and architecture over a broad variety of software and hardware environments
