Assisted Living and Social Services (ALSS) provides supports for seniors, families, and communities, and helps Albertans access disability services, continuing care, financial supports, affordable housing, services for the homeless, and other social-based programs. The Legislative Analyst plays a critical role in shaping the legislative and regulatory framework for the Ministry of ALSS. This position is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and tracking legislation (Acts and regulations), Ministerial Orders, Delegation and Designation Orders and other legal instruments that support government priorities.
Reporting to the Manager, Policy Coordination and Legislation, the Legislative Analyst operates with a high degree of independence and collaborates closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, including legislative counsel, legal advisors and ALSS’s program areas.

Hours of work: 36.25 hours per week, Monday – Friday
