Your Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to the following
- Driving revenue growth by achieving assigned sales targets, while thoroughly documenting every stage of the sales process in the CRM platform
- Engaging with prospects and clients daily—aiming for at least 2 meetings per workday while delivering compelling presentations, confidently negotiate rate quotations, and actively winning new business across all service areas
- Taking ownership of onboarding fresh accounts within your territory and cultivating them into long-term partnerships
- Retaining and growing existing customer relationships by implementing clear retention strategies and uncovering opportunities for additional services and cross-selling
- Building and maintaining influential relationships with key decision-makers to position organization as a trusted strategic partner
- Providing exceptional service on all customer interactions, ensuring timely quotes, diligent follow-ups, and consistent communication
- Preparing and delivering RFI, RFQ, bid, and contract submissions while ensuring thorough and proactive follow-up
- Maintaining precise and timely records of sales activities including calls, appointments, presentations, closed sales, pipeline updates, and follow-up actions within the CRM and required reports
- Working closely with operations teams to troubleshoot challenges, resolve customer issues efficiently, and leverage your industry knowledge to elevate service quality
- Partnering with Finance & Accounting to support the collection of overdue accounts when required
- Represent the organization's brand at local networking events, industry functions, and community initiatives to enhance visibility and promote the company’s value proposition
- Participating actively in scheduled weekly and monthly sales meetings and contributing to team goals
- Performing additional responsibilities as assigned to support business needs and overall company success.
Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Business, Logistics, or a related discipline is preferred, and/or a minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience; a combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered
- 5 years of hands-on experience in international freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation, demonstrating a strong knowledge of industry processes, systems, and service offerings
- Minimum of 5 years in field sales is required, ideally with a blend of account management and new business development experience
- Thorough understanding of the global freight forwarding landscape and customer segments, with a solid familiarity across the full suite of products
- Working knowledge of logistics solutions such as air freight, ocean freight, ground transportation, customs services, and insurance required
- Advanced proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Highly self-driven with a polished and professional demeanor
- Communicates clearly and confidently, both in writing and in person, and actively seeks input from others to strengthen collaboration
- Comfortable speaking and presenting to clients and prospects with confidence and clarity
- Ability to assess issues, identify root causes, and determine effective resolutions
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and explain performance metrics in straightforward terms to customers
- Continuously seeks ways to improve customer solutions, introducing new ideas, approaches, and process enhancements
- Excellent organizational abilities with consistent follow-up
- Effective time-management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload independently
- G license, personal vehicle with insurance, and clean driver's abstract as travelling by car to customer and prospective customer locations will be required frequently
- Availability to work the standard schedule of 35 hours per week; however, job requirements may include additional and/or extended work time as the business dictates
