Location: Brampton, On-site, 5 days per week

About the Opportunity

We are hiring a Quality Engineer to support a leading organization in the manufacturing sector during a period of transition. In this 6-month contract, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the Quality Management System at the plant level while contributing to safe and efficient operations. This role is essential to ensuring continuity on the quality team while the current manager is on leave.

Working closely with the Quality Manager and a collaborative team of engineering and production professionals, you will help drive process reliability, uphold ISO standards, and ensure that quality practices are consistently followed. Your Responsibilities

• You’ll develop and update testing procedures, SOPs, work instructions, and inspection documentation to support consistent quality control.
• You’ll manage document control processes to ensure alignment with ISO 9001 requirements.
• You’ll lead and coordinate change management activities, ensuring proper approvals and smooth implementation.
• You’ll administer and maintain the measuring system calibration program, including internal verification and external calibration.
• You’ll support the quality team in resolving non-conforming product issues and provide training to production personnel.
• You’ll participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, safety, and efficiency.
• You’ll promote compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the plant.


Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a Master’s degree considered an asset.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, World Class Manufacturing, and ISO 9001 QMS.
• Experience with GD&T, blueprint reading, 5 Whys, 8D, SPC, PPAP, FMEA, and control plans.
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification preferred.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-driven environment.
