As a Business Analyst within the Smart Automation Operations team, you will serve as a key liaison between business units and technical teams, driving the identification, analysis, and delivery of automation solutions. You will be responsible for gathering enhancement requirements, estimating effort, coordinating testing activities, and supporting defect resolution. This role demands strong process understanding, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to translate business needs into actionable technical deliverables. Familiarity with AI/ML concepts is an asset, enabling you to contribute to intelligent automation initiatives.
Is this role right for you?
• Act as the primary point of contact for business units regarding process-specific queries and automation feasibility.
• Conduct detailed process analysis and documentation to identify automation opportunities and enhancement needs.
• Gather and refine business requirements for new automations and enhancements, ensuring clarity and completeness.
• Collaborate with RPA Developers, QA Analysts, and Infra teams to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
• Estimate effort and complexity for automation enhancements in coordination with development and support teams.
• Maintain and update documentation in JIRA and Confluence, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and process maps.
• Coordinate testing activities for defect fixes and enhancements, including test planning, data preparation, and stakeholder alignment.
• Support UAT execution and validation, ensuring business sign-off and readiness for production deployment.
• Participate in solution design reviews and provide business context to ensure alignment with operational goals.
• Monitor post-deployment performance and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with governance, risk, and control frameworks during requirement gathering and documentation.
• Contribute to change management efforts by preparing communication materials and supporting stakeholder engagement.
• Maintain a repository of automation use cases, benefits realized, and lessons learned.
• Stay informed on emerging AI/ML concepts and technologies to support intelligent automation initiatives.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably within automation, digital transformation, or technology operations.
• Strong understanding of RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath, Pega, WorkFusion) and automation lifecycle.
• Experience with process mapping and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Signavio).
• Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and Excel for documentation and reporting.
• Experience in effort estimation and coordinating testing activities for automation solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a hybrid onsite-offshore team model.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application in automation (an asset).
• Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or UiPath Business Analyst Foundation (preferred but not mandatory).
