About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established organization in the retail sector, is seeking a Product Quality Analyst / Business Analyst to play a central role in elevating the quality, performance, and reliability of their consumer product portfolio. In this position, you will have a direct impact on how products meet customer expectations, strengthen brand trust, and succeed in the marketplace.

Collaborating with Product Engineering, Product Development, Merchandising, After Sales, and cross-functional analytics teams, you will help uncover insights, guide quality improvements, and ensure that every product placed on shelves delivers on its promise. Your work will support both strategic decision making and day-to-day operational excellence.

Role Overview & Expectations

  • Business Analyst supporting two product divisions.
  • Well-structured role with ongoing opportunities to modernize processes.
  • Previous BA built Power BI dashboards & automated reporting — team is looking for someone who can take analytics and reporting to the next level.
  • Heavy focus on data analytics, reporting, dashboard creation, and helping shape how data is interpreted across cross-functional teams.
  • Important upcoming work includes data migration into Azure Cloud.

Your Responsibilities

  • Analyze return data, defect rates, ratings, and vendor trends to highlight opportunities for improvement.
  • Review testing and inspection activities and recommend optimized quality management plans.
  • Evaluate safety, vendor, and product risks for new product introductions and propose appropriate testing strategies.
  • Review testing and inspection reports, determining next steps and ensuring timely issue resolution.
  • Maintain issue logs and track vendor corrective actions through to completion.
  • Prepare and deliver concise, engaging presentations to stakeholders.
  • Support After Sales Service by ensuring accurate product information, reviewing parts availability, and maintaining up-to-date technical documentation.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and automated analytics to support data-driven decision making.
  • Assist with data migration to Azure Cloud and work with large datasets for analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize processes and enhance data interpretation across the organization.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, product development, engineering, or a related field.
  • A university degree in a relevant field.
  • Strong product knowledge related to your area of experience.
  • Technical acumen gained through manufacturing, quality assurance, consumer product environments, or data analytics.
  • Experience in product design or development is an asset.
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI (data visualization, dashboard building).
  • SQL (nice-to-have; helpful especially with migration work).
  • Strong experience working with large datasets.
  • Experience with data analytics, reporting automation, and building new processes.
  • Azure Cloud experience.
  • Experience in retail or consumer products is a bonus but not required.
  • AI experience or interest, especially in AI-driven analytics, is a strong plus.
