Our public-sector client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (BPR) with deep experience leading business process re-engineering within complex IT environments. This role is ideal for a senior consultant who excels at analyzing enterprise workflows, identifying gaps, optimizing processes, and driving transformation across business and technology teams.
The Senior BA will partner closely with program leadership, IT architects, project managers, and business stakeholders to redesign processes, streamline operations, and support major system modernization or integration initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive current-state assessments, including documentation of processes, systems, data flows, and pain points.
Design future-state workflows, operating models, and process improvements aligned to organizational strategy.
Develop senior-level deliverables including:
Business process maps (as-is/to-be)
Gap analyses & future-state recommendations
Change management strategies
High-level and detailed business requirements
Technology impact assessments
Project plans & implementation roadmaps
Collaborate with IT architects, business SMEs, and technical teams to ensure processes align with solution architecture.
Support the planning and execution of large-scale system modernization, integration, or transformation initiatives.
Lead cross-functional workshops, steering committees, and requirements sessions.
Provide strategic advisory on process standardization, automation opportunities, and efficiency improvements.
Partner with the Change Management team to support transition planning, training, and stakeholder communication.
Contribute to testing readiness (UAT), validation, and implementation support as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
10+ years of demonstrated Business Analysis experience in enterprise IT environments.
Extensive background in Business Process Re-Engineering, workflow optimization, and redesign initiatives.
Proven experience supporting complex IT projects involving cloud, data, integration, ERP, ECM, or enterprise applications.
Strong understanding of systems implementation, SDLC methodologies, and IT governance frameworks.
Excellent ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and vice versa.
Advanced experience facilitating workshops and managing diverse stakeholder groups across IT and business units.
Exceptional documentation skills: process maps, BRDs, functional specs, change strategies, roadmaps, etc.
Comfortable communicating at all levels—technical SMEs to executive leadership.
Proficiency with tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, MS Project, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or similar.
