About the Opportunity

Altis Recruitment is proud to support a Broader Public Sector organization in finding an attentive, service-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk. In this role, you will help ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial operations that support teams across the province. You will be part of a collaborative finance environment where clarity, precision, and excellent communication make a meaningful difference day to day.

Working closely with finance and administrative professionals, you will play a hands-on role in processing invoices, supporting expense-related inquiries, and contributing to smooth operational workflows. Your Responsibilities

  • In this role, you’ll perform full-cycle Accounts Payable tasks, managing invoices, reimbursements, and incoming AP inquiries.

  • You’ll process and reconcile organizational credit cards, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

  • You’ll support travel logistics and help coordinate fleet vehicle bookings for internal teams.

  • You’ll provide clear and professional guidance on finance processes, helping colleagues navigate policies and requirements.

  • You’ll use sound judgment to identify when expense-related inquiries should be escalated to senior finance staff.

  • You’ll assist with general administrative support to help maintain efficient daily operations.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong background in Accounts Payable, including experience processing invoices and managing vendor or internal inquiries.

  • Experience with Oracle or CAS is an asset.

  • Demonstrated ability to interpret policies and learn new systems or procedures quickly.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across departments.

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.

  • Previous administrative experience is considered an asset.

    This position requires an active Secret Security Clearance. Applicants must be eligible to work in secure government environments.
