Agilus is recruiting for a Commercial Analyst - 1 Year Contract in the oil and gas sector in Toronto, Ontario. The Commercial Analyst is a detail-oriented and analytical professional who will collaborate with project management, engineering, and external relations, while independently managing priorities with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments, demonstrates adaptability, and can navigate complex situations effectively. Total rewards: $35.00 - $42.00 hourly Schedule - Monday to Friday, 1 day work from home, 40 hours per week Contract Duration: 1 Year Location: Toronto Travel Required: Minimal but could be 5%-10% within the Toronto area A typical day: Perform financial and feasibility analyses, including cost-benefit and IRR calculations Develop and maintain financial models for scenario and project evaluations Support project budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring throughout the lifecycle Conduct market research and analyze policy/regulatory impacts on projects Manage commercial contracts and ensure compliance with quality standards Assist procurement processes and coordinate with vendors for RFPs Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders Identify risks and contribute to mitigation strategies and process improvements The successful candidate brings: 4–7 years of experience in an analyst-level role Strong analytical and research skills with expertise in financial modeling Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; skilled in navigating databases and spreadsheets Ability to create clear, impactful presentations and reports. Comfortable using AI tools and standard Office Suite applications University degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field Working knowledge of the energy or electricity industry (asset) Project management experience in the development phase (asset) This posting is for an active opening.
