As part of the Global Wealth Management (GWM) team, we support a dynamic and highly regulated portfolio of business applications that are critical to the delivery of world-class financial services.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

 

  • Approximately 5 years of hands-on experience in Java development within the banking or financial services domain
  • Proven experience in system migration and application integration projects
  • Strong technical background in Linux, WebSphere, and Oracle environments
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues with network, firewall, optimize performance, and work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
  • Manage and coordinate incident resolution and problem management, ensuring root cause analysis and long-term fixes are implemented
  • Support application health checks and day-to-day operations
  • Assist in change management, deployment planning, and coordination with business and technology stakeholders
  • Contribute to disaster recovery planning, server patching, and certificate renewal processes
  • Provide input on process improvement, automation opportunities, and standardization of development practices

  • 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience, including backend systems, APIs, or enterprise-level applications
  • 5+ years of experience in a financial institution
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in production environments
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
  • Solid understanding of IT operational processes, including monitoring, incident management, and root cause analysis
  • Experience working in complex environments with hybrid cloud and on-premise systems
  • Familiarity with tools such as Git, Jenkins, JIRA, ServiceNow, or similar platforms
  • Nice-to-Have:
  • Exposure to Wealth Management business applications or financial services systems
  • Experience with cloud technologies (Azure or AWS)
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance in financial systems
