Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.

We’re looking for a Back-End Developer to join our team in Global Wealth Engineering, where we are leading the development of generative AI products for asset managers. You will play a critical role in building enterprise-grade data pipelines that power intelligent applications. This role blends software engineering, data engineering, and elements of data science to bring clean, reliable, and accessible data into our AI workflows

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Write and manage your own development tasks in Jira, including well-defined acceptance criteria and technical subtasks
  • Own your stream of work end-to-end, proactively identifying blockers, gaps, or data issues before they impact downstream systems
  • Write SQL and Python scripts to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources into standardized, query-optimized formats
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, cloud developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have.

  • Bachelor’s Degree, with a Technology, Computer Science, or Software Engineering background.
  • Experience designing and building enterprise-grade data ingestion pipelines, including handling data from various sources such as REST APIs, GraphQL, FTP, and file-based inputs
  • Strong proficiency in Python for data processing, scripting, and orchestration tasks
  • Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow (or equivalents) for scheduling and managing data pipelines
  • Solid understanding of data transformation techniques, including cleaning, validation, and standardization across heterogeneous formats
  • Experience creating and managing datasets and tables optimized for query performance and storage efficiency, ideally in cloud-native warehouses like BigQuery
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying, analysis, and validation of data pipelines
  • Hands-on experience with cloud storage and compute platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform for provisioning and maintaining cloud resources
  • Ability to proactively identify and resolve data quality issues, schema inconsistencies, and pipeline failures through analysis and debugging

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with data science workflows, including data exploration, feature engineering, and model evaluation
  • Familiarity with machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, pandas, and NumPy
  • Familiarity with retrieval techniques, vector stores, or building LLM applications (e.g., using LangChain, FAISS, Pinecone)
