The Manager, Preconstruction, in supporting Omicron AEC, works closely with the Directors of Construction; the development, design, and engineering project teams to ensure constructability, costing and profitability of Omicron projects. Manage complex estimates, tendering and contracts Provide leadership to in-house design and construction team members with front end work on specifications and conceptual design estimates Design and constructability management Research and administration Bids and proposals Strategic management Budget. Partner with various Omicron teams to attain financial objectives Successful candidates will have: 5-10+ years working in the construction industry in a similar role Bachelors degree or diploma in Construction, Building Technology, Project Management, Engineering or Architecture is an asset Familiarity with current preconstruction and estimating platforms Familiarity with current design management, virtual construction, clash detection and logistics platforms Expertise in various building types, traditional subcontractor work scopes, construction systems and methods, construction specifications, tendering practices and contract types Able to build and maintain trusting relationships internally and externally This posting is for an active opening.
