Key Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative concepts, write clear, concise, and engaging copy for a variety of CRM channels, including emails, SMS messages, push notifications, in-app messages, digital banners, and more for Bell, Virgin, and Lucky Mobile, specifically for mobility and home services targeting both B2C and B2B audiences.
  • Develop creative messaging strategies that align with brand voice, marketing objectives, and customer segmentation, tailoring benefits and language for each segment and service type.
  • Collaborate closely with digital designers, CRM specialists, campaign managers, and other stakeholders to ensure copy and creative are integrated and effective across diverse product offerings and customer types.
  • Adapt tone of voice and style to suit the specific brand and target audience, understanding the different communication needs of B2Cs versus B2B owners.
  • Clearly articulate the value proposition of technical products (e.g., internet plans, TV bundles) and service-based offerings (e.g., mobile plans, device upgrades).
  • Proofread and edit copy for grammar, spelling, clarity, and consistency.
  • Contribute to brainstorming and concept development for new CRM initiatives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor messaging, and best practices in direct response copywriting, with a focus on telecommunications and B2C/B2B marketing.
  • Manage multiple writing assignments and meet tight deadlines.

 

Critical Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in copywriting, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful CRM, email marketing, or direct response copy, ideally with experience in telecommunications, retail, financial sectors, etc.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong command of the English language.
  • Proven ability to write in different brand voices and tailor messages to specific audiences, demonstrating an understanding of B2C and B2B needs.
  • Proven ability to use AI tools to create copy
  • Understanding of marketing principles and how copy contributes to campaign success.
  • Ability to translate complex product features or offers into simple, benefit-driven language, effectively communicating the value of both technical and service-based products.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced marketing environment and managing multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with telecommunications industry or multi-brand marketing is an asset.


 

 

Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
