Our leading retail client is seeking a detail-oriented and data-savvy Intermediate Business Data Analyst to join their expanding e-commerce team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in guiding product strategy by converting complex data into meaningful insights. Working closely with Product, Engineering, and Operations teams, you’ll help identify growth opportunities, test new ideas, and measure the success of product initiatives.

This is an ONSITE contract, 5 days a week in their Mississauga office. This role is a 2 month term plus high chance for extension (pending 2026 budget). 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and Analyze KPIs: Establish, monitor, and interpret key performance indicators to support data-driven business cases. Evaluate potential opportunities for new features and enhancements through detailed opportunity sizing and attribution analysis.
  • Measure Product Success: Develop and manage post-launch analytics frameworks to evaluate product performance, track goals, and provide continuous reporting on engagement and effectiveness.
  • Own Weekly Reporting: Lead weekly KPI reporting, ensuring data accuracy, timely delivery, and clear communication of insights to stakeholders.
  • Generate Insights: Identify meaningful patterns, trends, and anomalies within product data to drive improvement and inform product roadmap decisions.
  • Support Experimentation: Partner on A/B testing and other experiments to validate hypotheses, measure outcomes, and refine user experiences.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with Product Managers on defining requirements, partner with Engineers to ensure reliable tracking and data quality, and collaborate with Operations to analyze adoption and performance metrics.
  • Develop Dashboards and Reports: Build and maintain dashboards and analytical reports that provide visibility into product performance and enable self-service data access for the broader team.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or in a related data-focused role within e-commerce or retail.
  • Proven ability to define and track KPIs, conduct opportunity sizing, and perform attribution analysis.
  • Strong background in post-launch performance measurement and continuous reporting.
  • Proficiency in SQL, BigQuery and familiarity with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar web analytics tools.
  • Experience with A/B testing platforms and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or Mathematics, or equivalent hands-on experience.
