Agilus is recruiting for an EHT Designer in the Energy industry in a hybrid work environment in Calgary, Alberta. The candidate will possess a solid understanding of electrical/EHT design principles within Oil and Gas processing facilities. Total rewards: $45.00 - $65.00 hourly 3-6 months contract A typical day: Performing field visits to validate existing drawings and confirm tie-in locations Experience in the design of electrical distribution systems in a project team environment with a focus on conceptual studies, Front End Engineering Design (FEED), and detailed design for greenfield and brownfield projects Work on multiple projects and manage assigned work effectively, including prioritizing, executing, managing the schedule and budget, and reporting to meet project goals/targets Develop EHT design by performing EHT calculations/EHT zoning and guide HVEC office, preparing associated EHT documents (i.e., EHT isometrics, EHT wiring drawings, EHT Panel schedules, controller set point schedule, EHT layouts, BOM) Experience with preparing EHT MTO for pre-FEED and FEED projects and with electrical power distribution for EHT design Check EHT/Electrical documents independently as a discipline checker and work closely with P. Eng. To get them sealed efficiently Perform Vendor drawing reviews for EHT packages Attending project team meetings, Client meetings, and vendor review meetings and reviewing designs for constructability and accordance with project requirements Successful candidates will have: Minimum Two-year diploma in electrical engineering from a recognized institution At least 5-10 years of experience in the design of electrical distribution systems for Oil & Gas facilities Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and experience in the EPC industry, leading the local and workshare team will be an asset Leadership skills, team player, proven multi-tasker with strong organizational skills Experience with AVEVA E3D or any other 3D Software will be an asset This posting is for an active opening.
