Our client, a long-standing provider of specialized insurance solutions, is looking for an Underwriter to join their collaborative and fast-paced team. This role sits within a niche segment of the insurance industry, supporting unique and complex risks including AD&D, Disability, Critical Illness and Out of Country Medical. As part of a close-knit underwriting department, you will work directly with brokers, clients and internal colleagues to evaluate risk, prepare proposals and help deliver customized solutions for diverse client groups. Your Responsibilities

• You will underwrite new and renewal business across multiple product lines including AD&D, Disability, Critical Illness and Out of Country Medical
• You will act as the account manager for assigned in-force groups, ensuring strong service and responsiveness
• You will communicate with brokers and clients through phone and written correspondence, ensuring clarity and professionalism
• You will support proposal development for RFPs and assist with onboarding new accounts
• You will attend client meetings with colleagues when needed and provide additional support across the department

Skills and Qualifications

• 3+ years of underwriting experience within insurance markets
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with comfort engaging directly with clients and brokers
• Proficiency in Word and Excel and strong organizational abilities
• Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and work independently
• Bachelor’s degree preferred and bilingualism considered an asset
