Position Summay

Reliable and safety-focused Carpenter Helper with experience supporting residential and commercial renovation projects. Skilled in assisting with framing, drywall installation, flooring, demolition, and material handling. Able to use basic hand and power tools, follow technical instructions, and maintain clean, organized work areas. Supports carpenters with measurements, cutting, assembly, and installation with quality standards. Known for strong work ethic, physical stamina, teamwork, and a commitment to completing tasks efficiently and on schedule.

Responsibilities:
•    Perform all aspects of carpentry work including measuring and cutting materials, constructing structures, and installing fixtures. Demolition and site prep is occasionally required.
•    Work with a wide range of tools including power saws, hammers, drills, and hand tools.
•    Assist in the installation and maintenance of interior and exterior finishes such as drywall, trim, siding, and roofing.
•    Maintain a clean and organized work area.
•    Receive training and guidance from an experienced carpenter.
•    Other duties as assigned.

Education/Skills/Experience:
•    With 1-2 years experience and reporting to a Licensed Carpenter, you will have the opportunity to be registered as a 1st or 2nd year apprentice. 
•    Knowledge of carpentry practices and skill in using tools and equipment.
•    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•    Willingness to try new things and assume additional responsibilities.
•    Excellent communication skills.
•    Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation are required.

Working and Physical Demands:
•    Ability to stand for long periods of time, able to crouch, bend and kneel, as well as capable of heavy lifting and carrying of materials.
•    Able to climb ladders and comfortable working at heights and elevated platforms.
•    Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity is essential.
•    Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
