Join Our Team as a Website Specialist!
Are you the kind of person who can resolve a handful of website admin issues before your morning coffee, host an admin training session by lunch, and still have energy left to conduct website audits for compliance? If so, we need you on our team.
At CFMWS (Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services), we serve those who serve. Our Marketing & Communications team is looking for a Website Specialist who’s equal parts technical, creative, strategic, and ready to roll up their sleeves.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the organization’s website, including vendor-led development, design, content, publications, usability, and risk assessments.
- Lead and perform testing, audits and quality checks and rollout of new website features and enhancements.
- Manage website administrator coordination, deliver training and support.
- Act as a subject matter expert, offering advice, coaching, and support on programs, operations, and policies.
- Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to share and clarify technical information
What You Bring
- Ability to manage multiple priorities without missing a beat
- Comfortable building strong relationships and collaborating with diverse stakeholders in both official languages.
- Skilled in troubleshooting, resolving issues, and handling analytics requests
- Solid understanding of CMS, web development, accessibility, SEO, and analytics tools
- Experience in content planning, workflow design, website management, CMS training, and policy development

Education, Certifications and Licenses
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Web Development and Design or a related discipline AND some years of experience in a related field
Experience
In planning, organizing and managing website content
In creating user workflows, wireframes and demo sites
In website management
In training on content management systems
In data collection and analysis
In project management
In developing, applying and/or reviewing policies and procedures
Competencies, Skills and Abilities
Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
English or French Essential, Bilingual (English and French) an asset
Reading: Advanced
Writing: Functional
Oral: Advanced

This is a temporary position with anticipated start date of December 1, 2025, and end date of June 30, 2026.
This is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.
