Our client, an organization within the Broader Public Sector is seeking a HR Administrative Assistant to support their People & Culture team. This role provides essential administrative support to the Director of People and the HR team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, organized workflows and timely handling of employee inquiries.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the People & Culture team, including calendar management, meeting coordination, document preparation, and file organization
  • Assist with HR correspondence and internal communications using Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Support onboarding/offboarding tasks and help prepare HR documents and templates
  • Coordinate scheduling, track action items, and support multiple HR projects simultaneously
  • Assist with maintaining employee records and updating shared HR systems
  • Liaise with leaders, employees, and cross-functional teams in a professional and timely manner
  • Provide general office and administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations within the P&C team

 

What We're Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience in HR administration, office administration, or supporting multiple leaders/projects
  • Experience working within the public sector or transportation industry is preferred
  • Strong proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • High attention to detail, strong organization, and a proactive, “roll-up-your-sleeves” attitude
  • Friendly, engaged, and professional communicator who contributes positively to team culture
  • Reliable, enthusiastic, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

Schedule & Details:

  • Schedule: 8:30AM – 5:30PM Monday to Friday
  • Contract Length: 3 months with opportunity for extension
  • Work type: Fully on-site
  • Location: Downtown Vancouver
  • Pay rate: $28/hour
