Purpose of Job
The Mortgage Review Officer/ Senior Credit Analyst (CA) is responsible for performing qualityreviews of mortgage loan decisions processed through Scotia Mortgage Authority (SMA), HomeFinancing Solutions (HFS), and Branch Channels to ensure consistent, quality decisions are beingmade by the adjudication staff within appropriate risk policies and identifying trends to improveservice to all customers.
In addition, the incumbent ensures adherence to Bank regulations, security procedures and policiesthrough a pre-funding review of all mortgages. The CA will escalate all non-adherence mortgagedeficiencies to the Broker Relationship Manager (BRM), Home Financing Lending Manager (HFLM)and Financial Advisor (FA), as well as all administrative findings. The CA will also communicate totheir respective Manager, Credit Review, and Senior Manager any findings that require immediateattention and remediation for compliance issues.
The Senior Credit Analyst is an integral part of our team and works collaboratively by takinginitiative as required to ensure the team’s service expectations are met. A strong understanding ofthe Bank's policies and processes as they relate to Mortgage Retail Lending and the Bank's Serviceand Complaint Resolution standards is a must.
