The Role 

 

The Senior Manager, Communications, Global Insurance is a key member and contributor to the overall success of the Global Insurance business through initiating, developing, and delivering highly visual and impactful ongoing communications strategies and plans. The incumbent will support Global Insurance key strategic priorities, as well as foster employee engagement across a number of communications channels. This includes a lead role in the creative development, project management and oversight of multiple internal communications initiatives of significant complexity. This role supports strategic initiatives, speech writing, executive presentations, town halls, internal and external communications, internal video production, newsletters, infographics, engagement surveys, and various global employee engagement campaigns. This role requires a passionate storyteller and content creator with the ability to connect the dots and tell meaningful stories regarding exciting changes and transformation, as well as market the Global Insurance strategy to Global Insurance employees and rest of the bank

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will be involved in: 

 

  • Expert communications skills with exceptional writing abilities – a sharp writer, detail-oriented, creative and a superb editor – and the ability to transform complex subjects into meaningful stories. Ability to ask targeted questions to identify connections across stories
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, comfortable communicating directly with senior executives
  • Proven project management and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Strategic capability to develop and implement innovative and relevant communications dealing with diverse issues and subjects to support Global Insurance objectives
  • Independent, excellent motivator and team player
  • Experience developing visual and engaging content in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and other digital platforms

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have the following: 

 

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Social Media Marketing
  • Strong digital skills 
  • Experience in developing and executing Marketing, Communications and Social Media strategies. 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to plan and create effective print and online content.
  • Excellent demonstrated ability to take complex ideas and translate them into digestible key messages that resonate with audience
  • Strong interest in communicating and driving strategy through effective communication plans and employee engagement tactics.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills, with excellent attention to detail, and high-level accountability for the quality and timely completion of projects.
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing deadlines
  • Passionate storyteller 
  • Flexible and willing to take on new challenges as they present themselves.
  • Strong ability to create enthusiasm and foster a team environment.
  • Fluency in Spanish as well as English is an asset

 

Working Conditions

 

  • The environment is fast-paced, complex and demanding. Significant pressure may be experienced, due to tight deadlines and unanticipated executive requests.
  • Overtime hours including evenings and weekends may be required on limited or no notice to meet business demands and time-critical executive requests.
  • This position works closely with the senior leadership team and must be an experienced professional with the ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships.
