About the position

Duties
The Canadian Forces Logistics Training Centre (CFLTC) based in Borden and Valcartier provides modernized, student centric training to 8 logistics trades and 2 music trades for military and public service personnel.
The role involves collaborating within a team to design and develop engaging e-learning content for CFLTC training, using 3D design, multimedia animation, and other creative tools.
We are pleased to host an information session to provide you with a brief overview of how to navigate the application process and learn more about the Department of National Defence. All who meet the area of selection are encouraged to attend.

In line with Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) direction, the Department of National Defence (DND) has adopted a common hybrid work model where employees work at their designated worksite at least 3 days each week, or 60% of their regular schedule.
Intent of the process
The intent of this process is to fill four (4) immediate positions on an indeterminate (full-time permanent) basis at the Base Borden Training Centre, located at 110 Route Atlantic Road, Borden ON.

EDUCATION
ED1. A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives (see Note 1).
Note:
1. The employer-approved alternatives to a secondary school diploma are:
o A satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; or
o An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Candidates who already meet both of the following criteria must be accepted as meeting the secondary school diploma requirement:
a. Candidates who have achieved a satisfactory score on the Public Service Commission test approved as an alternative to a secondary school diploma; and
b. Candidates who have been appointed or deployed for an indeterminate period to a position in the GT classification.
The opportunity to be assessed by at least one of the two employer-approved alternatives must be offered to candidates who have not previously met the secondary school diploma requirement.
Candidates who were appointed or deployed on an indeterminate basis using an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience meet the secondary school requirement for the GT classification only and must be reassessed for entry to other classifications on the basis of this alternative.

EXPERIENCE
EX1. Experience in graphic design and image editing, with application of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) to ensure inclusive visual content.
EX2. Experience in designing e-learning interfaces, developing content using tools such as Storyline and dominKnow, and publishing to Learning Management Systems (LMS) or Learning Content Management Systems (LCMS) platforms such as DND Learn.
EX3. Experience in multimedia production including video, audio, and animation development using a variety of software tools.
EX4. Experience in creating mockups and visual storyboards to support multimedia and e-learning development.
EX5. Experience analyzing client needs and making appropriate recommendations for multimedia projects.
