Location: 3 days onsite in Liberty Village

We’re looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Controller to oversee our client’s finance operations and support the company’s continued growth. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, ideal for someone who enjoys leading people, improving systems, and ensuring financial accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day accounting operations, including month-end and year-end close
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and reports
  • Manage and mentor a small accounting team, fostering growth and accountability
  • Oversee internal controls, compliance, and audit preparation
  • Collaborate with leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
  • Work with external partners to ensure tax and regulatory compliance across regions
Qualifications
  • CPA or equivalent designation
  • 8+ years of experience with financial statements preparation, financial reporting, and month- and year-end closes
  • 3+ year of team management experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting best practices
  • Knowledge of Canadian, UK, and US accounting and tax compliance standards
  • Proven success improving accounting processes and systems (ideally Dynamics 365 Business Central)
